FAMOUS PEOPLE

Ludwig van Beethoven was born on December 17, 1770, in Bonn, Germany. He was the son of a tenor vocalist named Johann van Beethoven. Maria Magdalena van Beethoven was his mother's name. His childhood he spent just like a child in general playing and studying. However, his father who is an artist later also educated Ludwig van Beethoven by practicing the piano for hours. He wanted his son to be like Mozart.

When a music composition tutor named Christian Gottlob Neefe saw Beethoven's tremendous musical talent, he began to teach him about Johann Sebastian Bach's musical creations. Beethoven's first work was published in 1783. Beethoven published three sonatas for the then-prince of Bonn, Franz Xaver Stelker, in the same year. Beethoven went to Vienna to study with Mozart on the prince's orders in 1787.

Seeing Beethoven's ability, Mozart was amazed and said that he saw one of the best composers in the world in the future. But his meeting with Mozart did not last long. Beethoven immediately rushed back because his mother, Maria Magdalene, was seriously ill and died in 1787. After his mother died, Beethoven took care of his two younger siblings. He took his father's salary for his two younger siblings and worked as a piano tutor for the nobles.

He was depressed, despite the fact that he had completed several compositions since the concert. Beethoven's kidney illness caused him to get a high fever in 1826. His life could not be saved, and he died at the age of fifty-seven on March 26, 1827. He was laid to rest in Vienna, Austria.
