Good day, guys! We are once again confronted with new information, this time in the form of Descriptive Text. Check out the explanation below.

🔥 Definition of Descriptive Text

Basically, in its most basic form, is a text that tries to explain or describe something. This creature can take the form of animals, objects, places, and other things. Descriptive text can also mean:

1. Descriptive text provides information about how something or someone looks, this text uses words to  

     describe what something or someone is like.

2. . Descriptive text also includes information on how Indonesian is used in practice and how this material 

       should be used

🔥 Generic Structure Descriptive Text

~ Identification 

Identification is a general description of a topic that serves as an introduction. For example, the Duke of Edinburgh is one of my supporters. He's someone I know. The Duke of Edinburgh is one of my closest friends. My classmate is Hawkeye State. 

~ Description

The particular features of an object, place, or the way an object is described are all included in the description. For instance, properties.

🔥 Descriptive Text Characteristics 

1. The verb is an attribute verb, such as be (am, is, or are)

2. The tense is easy 

3. Only one object is focused on.

🔥 Elements of Descriptive Text

1. Noun 

Noun Use specific principle nouns like "my cat," "my swain," and "monument" in descriptive text. In addition, adjectives are frequently used to clarify the use of nouns or nouns, such as a large house, a responsible student, or an independent lady. 

2. Simple Present Tense 

The verb principle can be used to illustrate the ownership or condition of an object by utilizing the basic verb or the first form (verb 1). Because descriptive text conveys a fact about the Iranian language object being described, it uses the simple tense. My workplace, for example, has twenty-two storeys, Azka is attractive, and so on.

3. Verbs of Action 

When the verb principle is used, it denotes an activity in which the principle may be observed. Sleeping, walking, singing, dancing, and other activities come to mind. 

4. Figurative Expressions 

Using an Indonesian figurative principle or describing anything to the reader, usually through the use of a metaphor. Consider the following scenario: My feelings for you are as vast as the ocean. - My feelings for you are as vast as the ocean. Because of the snow, her complexion is as white as snow.

Ross is a small puppy. His size is as big as the palm of my hand. Ross is so fragile. Sometimes I afraid I will hurt him if I want to take him up. Dad said he found Ross near our house, crying looking for his mom. But Dad can’t see her, so Dad decides to bring him home and give him some comfort. Ross is a good eater. He always finished everything we gave him. Now, it’s been a year since Ross come to our family. His small body has grown up into a size of a football ball. Ross is a good dog, and we love him so much (description).

BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan is a seven-member South Korean boy band that began formation in 2010 and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. The members’ names are Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. This group was originally a hip hop group, but their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres. Their lyrics, often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work features references to literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline. The group has released several albums and performed on several world tours.

Pink Beach or Pink Beach is one of the beaches in Komodo island, East Nusa Tenggara. The beach is called Pink Beach because the sand beach is pink.

The pink color of its beach is a mixture of white sand beach colors mixed with crushed coral, shells, calcium carbonate from marine invertebrates that are very small, and also Foraminifera, microscopic amoeba that has a red body shell.

HISTORICAL BUILDING

The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World or mostly known as The Statue of Liberty is located in Liberty Island in New York Harbor, United States. This national building is a symbol of freedom. It was a gift from The French to United States to celebrate the centennial of the American Declaration of Independence.

Liberty Statue is made of 3.16 inch thick of copper sheets. The appearance of the statue is believed to be representing the Roman goddess of freedom. Its right hand is holding a torch, and the left hand is holding a book with the date of the American Declaration of Independence written on it. The color of the statue was rusty brown, but after 30 years of oxidation process, it turns into green as we can see now.

The height of the statue is measured from its base is 46 meters, but when it is measured from the ground, it is 93 meters. The height of the head is 14 feet. The width of the eye is 28 inches. The length of the nose is 3 feet 9 inches. The length of the forefinger is 8 feet. The total weight of the statue is 440,000 pounds.

Bali is the Madonna of Indonesian tourism which has been famous all over the world. Known as the island of the gods, Bali is very enchanting because of its natural beauty such as a volcano that can be seen up close and its green rice fields give a sense of peace and serenity. Bali fascinates for its dramatic dances and various traditional ceremonies, arts and crafts, luxurious beach resorts, and exciting nightlife. Bali has an entertainment side ranging from spiritual life, culinary to extraordinary experiences, such as surfing, diving, and challenging jungle trekking. to explore. The complex and unique temple is a common sight on this island.

This area still has a tropical climate like other provinces in Indonesia. Good morning, People. We will introduce a new material, namely procedure text. What is the purpose of procedure text? Let’s read for more detail!! 

🌟Getting to Know the Procedure Text

A procedure text is a text that is written to show the reader how to perform a specific task. Procedure text, on the whole, focuses on how to manufacture something or how to accomplish something. Procedure literature can be found in a variety of places, including recipes, manuals, and science experiments.

🌟 Purpose of Procedure Text

This sort of text aims to provide information or sequential guidance to the reader so that they can effectively complete particular activities efficiently and precisely.

🌟 Generic Structure Procedure Text

1. Goal 

The title of the method text already contains the objective or purpose of the content, such as how to prepare cookies, how to clean sneakers, and so on.

2. Materials 

After knowing the purpose of the text, there will be tools or materials used to carry out the next step. Examples of materials for making cakes are flour, eggs, cake molds, butter and others.

3. Steps

The steps on how to complete a task will be included in the next stage. To make a cake, for example, combine dry ingredients. After that, whisk everything together evenly.

🌟Procedure Text Language Features

1. Present Simple Tense 

The simple present tense must be used while writing process material. This is because fact phrases regarding how to make and use an object can be found in process literature. 

2. Connecting Words

In the procedure text also used connecting words that are useful to connect the steps in it. Like, firstly, after that, then, last, finally and many others.

3. Adverbial phrase 

For example, adverbs of time are explained using adverbs. Wait an hour, 15 minutes, and so forth. Adverbs are also employed to express a manner, such as slowly, well, quickly, and so on. 

4. Sentence of Command 

In procedure text, command sentences are utilized. For instance, add in 1 tablespoon of salt, knead the dough, and so on. Add, stir, mix, heat, and other verbs must be used to start command sentences.

🌟 Procedure Text Types 

Here are the many types of process text you should be aware of :

• Text that explains how to operate or use something. For instance, how to use a camera and a rice cooker. 
• Procedure literature that gives instructions on how to perform specific tasks. For instance, how to play the guitar or bake a cake. 
• Text for a procedure relating to life advice. For instance, how to be successful in life and how to be happy.

Now that you've read some of the procedure text, I'll give you an example to help you understand it better.

How to Make Blended Iced Cappuccino

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup of strong coffee
• 1 cup of ice cubes
• 2 cup skim milk
• 3 tablespoons of sugar
• 1/4 cup of cream
• whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

1. Brew a cup of coffee. Let it cool.
2. Put the ice cubes in the blender and pour the coffee over them.
3. Add milk, sugar, and cream.
4. Blend them all on medium speed until the ice is completely crushed.
5. Pour the mixture into a glass.
6. Top it off with whipped cream.

Ingredients:

• 2 eggs
• Milk (if desired)
• 1 teaspoon of butter
• A pinch of salt and pepper

Steps:

1. First, crack the eggs into a small bowl and add a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until all well blended.

2. In a frying pan, add butter and let it melt.

3. Pour the eggs and milk, and for around 20 seconds, do not stir it.

4. After that, fold the eggs to the center and stir with spatula.

5. Repeat the previous step until all the eggs are mostly cooked

6. Remove eggs from heat, and keep continue to fold and stir the eggs for around a minute.

7. Lift the eggs, put on the serving plate and your scrambled eggs are ready.

How to Make Blackforest Cake

Ingredients:

• 7 eggs
• 1 tea spoon of baking powder
• 1 ½ glass of flour
• 1 glass of sugar
• 1 tablespoon of chocolate powder
• 2 tablespoon of melted chocolate
• 250 gram of melted butter

Steps:

• Prepare a big bowl, pour eggs, baking powder and sugar.
• Mix them till smooth
• Pour the melted chocolate, chocolate powder and melted butter.
• Stir well with the spatula
• After you prepare the baking pan which cover with the butter and flour, pour the dough into it
• Bake it for 30 minutes
• The blackforest cake is ready to be served

                                                      How To Make Ice Lemon Tea

Ingredients:

• 1 bag of Teabag
• 2 pieces of Lemon Orange
• 2 tsp of sugar
• 6 Ice Cubes
• 50 ml of hot water
• 150 ml of cold water

Steps:

1. Brewed Tea bag in 50 ml of hot water.
2. Add sugar, and then stir until evenly distributed.
3. Squeeze the lemons. Then, pour lemon juice into the tea.
4. Add ice cubes and add 150 ml of cold water.
5. Stir until the lemon juice mixes with the tea.
6. Add lemon slices as decoration.
7. Ice Lemon Tea is ready to be served.

                                                          How to Use a Computer

You need:

• CPU
• Keyboard
• Monitor
• Mouse
• Printers (Optional)
• Speakers (Optional)

Here are the steps to operate a computer:

1. Before plug of powering up the computer system, make sure that the power cable is connected to the back panel of the CPU and is plugged into the electric socket.
2. Make sure the video cable is already connected to the monitor and the back panel of CPU correclty.
3. Make sure other devices such as mouse and keyboard have connected to the back panel of CPU in the right side. Other hardware can also be connected such as speaker, printer, and so forth.
4. When everything is plugged in securely, then press the power button on the CPU is usually located on the front panel of the CPU.
5. The computer will display the Windows logo and displays the desktop image
6. Once the desktop image appears then the computer is ready to operate
7. The proper way to shut down or turn off the computer system is by clicking on the ‘Start’ button and choosing the ‘Turn Off Computer’ option. This then will display the options to 'Standby', 'Restart', or 'Turn Off' the CPU. Click 'Turn Off' to turn off the computer.
